Whose Line Is It Anyway was always good for a laugh when I needed one. A simple, easy laugh that didn’t take much thinking. The jokes took hardly any thought since it was all improv but somehow it could be really funny. One game was Song Titles, where the players could only communicate to each other in (you guessed it) song titles. My favorite round was set in the ER.
Ryan walks in, holding out his hand: “Oops! I did it again.”
Colin, the doctor, exclaims: “O Canada!”
Dumb, absurd, and still funny years later.
Do you ever unintentionally play this game in your head? You see something (perhaps in your garden!) and a song title, maybe even the tune, jumps to mind. My brother and my husband both do this, so I know I’m not (completely) crazy.
So here goes. A round of “Song Titles” as I survey my garden.
